ERYTHROMYCIN USES :

Used to treat many bacterial infections like

Respiratory tract infections

Throat infection

Skin infections

ERYTHROMYCIN MECHANISM OF ACTION:

macrolide antibiotics

Works by stopping the growth of bacteria.

 

For bacterial growth, bacteria require protein synthesis. ERYTHROMYCIN binds to the 23S rRNA of the bacterial 50S ribosomal subunit and stops the bacterial protein synthesis process. That results in the ability to control various bacterial infections.

 

ERYTHROMYCIN RECOMMENDED DOSAGE :

ADULT DOSAGE:

take 500 mg/day

CHILD DOSAGE:

take 10 mg/kg DAY
