NEBIVOLOL MECHANISM OF ACTION :
Nebivolol belongs to the third generation of β-blockers
Nebivolol has the highest β1-receptor affinity among β-blockers
Nebivolol is mixture of 2 enantiomers .
D-nebivolol and l-nebivolol
D-nebivolol: Beta-1 adrenergic receptors blocker
decreased heart rate, myocardial contracility, systolic blood pressure, and diastolic blood pressure.
l-nebivolol: Beta-3 adrenergic receptor agonist
stimulates endothelial nitric oxide synthase, increasing nitric oxide levels, lead to vasodilation,
Nebivolol and other beta blockers are not first line therapies in patients. first line therapies in patients are thiazide diuretics.
Nebivolol also inhibits aldosterone leads to decreased blood volume.
Nebivolol inhibits the release of renin leads to reduced vasoconstriction.
Nebivolo is the only beta blocker that causes nitric oxide mediated vasodilation.

Nebivolol passes into your breast milk.so do not use for feeding mother.
During pregnancy or plan for baby consult with doctor before use nebivolol.
