MECHANISM:
Metoprolol is Beta-receptors
blockers.which are work by preventing norepinephrine (adrenalin) from acting on
beta receptors in blood vessels and in the heart.so result blood vessels relaxing. By relaxing s help to lower the
heart rate and decrease the heart’s demand for oxygen.so decrease blood
pressure and reduce chest pain.
(Metoprolol is a beta-1-adrenergic receptor inhibitor specific to
cardiac cells with negligible effect on beta-2 receptors.)
RECOMMENDED DOSAGE OF:
As per patient condition doctor recommended the dose.
Consult with doctor is mandatory.
ADVISE:
metoprolol Tablet should be taken once a day regularly at the same time.
Don’t take this drug again if
you’ve ever had an allergic reaction.
Don’t stop taking metoprolol suddenly. If you do, you may experience
worse chest pain, getting high blood pressure, chance heart attack. Stopping metoprolol is not
recommended.
If you need to stop taking the drug, first talk to your doctor. Your
dosage should be gradually decreased under a doctor’s supervision.
