MECHANISM: LINEZOLID is synthetic antibiotic and
oxazolidinone class medicine.
LINEZOLID works by inhibiting
bacterial protein synthesis.

ribosomal RNA of the 50S subunit and prevents the formation of a functional 70S
initiation complex, which is an necessary component of the bacterial translation
